Right for Wisconsin: Walker Campaign Unveils New Ad
Author: Nicole.Tieman

[MADISON, WI]- The Republican Party of Wisconsin Executive Director Stephan Thompson released the following statement on a new 30 second television ad that features Kristi, a mother and high school teacher who shares, from her personal perspective, why Governor Walker and his budget reforms are right for Wisconsin:

“The majority of voters in last year’s election voted for Governor Walker and his promise to put Wisconsin’s fiscal house in order,” said Thompson. “Governor Walker has accomplished what many could not- he balanced a $3.6 billion budget deficit without tax increases and without massive layoffs, saving the state and local governments hundreds of millions in the process. Governor Walker did what was right for Wisconsin. Kristi, a mother and high school teacher, represents that sentiment.”

Kristi, Mother and High School Teacher:

“I’m not big on recalls, and I think that, at this point, in my opinion, and I’m only speaking from the ‘I,’ it feels a little like sour grapes- it’s you know, ‘we didn’t get our way and so we want to change the outcome.’”

“The person that I’m going to stand behind and that is going to get my vote is the man or the woman that says what they mean and means what they say, and it’s not about being popular, you know, it’s not about getting the votes- it’s ‘this is what’s right.’
“Scott Walker said from the beginning, ‘I’m going to do what’s right for Wisconsin,’ and he did. He did.”
