Andrew Hitt Unanimously Re-Elected to Serve as WisGOP Chair

[Madison, WI] – Over the weekend, the Republican Party of Wisconsin Executive Board — consisting of grassroots activists from every Congressional District — unanimously re-elected WisGOP Chairman Andrew Hitt to serve another term as volunteer chair.

“I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue serving as the Chairman for the Republican Party of Wisconsin,” said Andrew Hitt. “In 2020, we defended our majorities in the Legislature and spoke directly to voters in communities that we previously neglected. Immediately, we will focus on ensuring that all legal votes are counted in the upcoming recount.

“But our work isn’t done. We need to turn towards the future to ensure we once again win statewide in races for Governor, Attorney General, and U.S. Senate during the 2022 election cycle. Wisconsin’s prosperity for the next generation depends on our efforts in local government races and successes against an increasingly liberal Democratic Party,” Hitt added.

Gerard Randall, WisGOP African American Council Chair added, “Chairman Hitt was unanimously and enthusiastically re-elected as our leader because of his and his team’s aggressive efforts to extend the message of the Republican Party to persons and communities of color and to voters who feel disconnected to the political system.”

Mary Buestrin, Wisconsin’s Republican National Committeewoman said the following, “Chairman Hitt’s steady leadership makes him the perfect choice to lead WisGOP into the future. He has worked diligently to grow a relationship between WisGOP and the RNC that will ensure our party is in a strong position ahead of the next election cycle.”
