Democrats Ignore Top Issues of Inflation and Crime
[La Crosse, WI] – Inflation and crime are top of mind for Wisconsin voters – but if you ask Wisconsin Democrats, neither issue exists. At last weekend’s 2022 Democrat Party of Wisconsin State Convention, Democrat officials and candidates refused to discuss sky-high costs that are forcing families to pay more for everything from milk to gas and offered no solutions to rising violent crime in Milwaukee and across the state.
Meanwhile, it’s no wonder that the abysmal enthusiasm among Democrats is making headlines. The Republican Party of Wisconsin State Convention had nearly three times the number of delegates as the Democrats’ State Convention – and nearly half of the Democrats’ delegates “attended” virtually.
“Wisconsin Democrats’ strategy to ignore inflation and crime is doomed to fail, so it’s no wonder that no grassroots Democrats wanted to jump on the sinking ship,” said Republican Party of Wisconsin Communications Director Anna Kelly. “Republicans are talking to Wisconsinites about the issues that matter, and we’re energized to re-elect Senator Ron Johnson and defeat Tony Evers in the fall.”
