ICYMI: Protasiewicz Abuses the Bench

MADISON, Wis. — In case you missed it, Janet Protasiewicz refused to recuse herself from the Act 10 lawsuit.

Protasiewicz’s abuse of the Supreme Court to legislate on Act 10 and advance dangeroulsy liberal policies is no surprise, she told us where she stood before she claimed her seat on Wisconsin’s highest court.

• Protasiewicz protested Act 10 in 2011 and signed Gov. Scott Walker’s recall petition.
• She stated that Act 10 was “unconstitutional” and even sided with Ann Walsh Bradley’s dissenting opinion in 2014.
• Protasiewicz told voters she “may” recuse during her campaign, but her refusal now shows that was never the plan. In retrospect her intentions were always clear: legislate from the bench.

Susan Crawford was endorsed by all four liberal judges on the Supreme Court, including Janet Protasiewicz. Their goals are clear: legislate dangerously liberal policies from the bench.
