MADISON, Wis. — The Republican Party of Wisconsin is pleased to announce that Anika Rickard is transitioning to the role of Communications Director, effective immediately. Rickard will be the primary media contact and spokesperson for the 2026 cycle.
“Rickard has been a great addition to the Republican Party of Wisconsin,” said WisGOP Chairman Brian Schimming. “Her performance as Digital and Rapid Response Director, combined with her experience in political communications, makes her the ideal choice for this role. I am eager to have Anika transition to Communications Director as we work to fire Tony Evers in 2026.”
“In 2026, Republicans need to take the messaging fight to Democrats,” said Rickard. “Democrats have made it clear that they intend to run on lies and falsehoods, hoping to hide their far-left policies from Wisconsinites. I look forward to continuing to confront Democrats with the truth and fight for our Republican candidates.”
Rickard’s experience includes serving as Deputy Executive Director for the MNGOP, Communications and Marketing Director for BOMA Greater Minneapolis, and other political roles in the Midwest. She is a graduate of Arizona State University.
