[Madison, WI] – As Wisconsinites celebrate National School Choice Week, the Republican Party of Wisconsin released the following statement from Chairman Paul Farrow:
“Since Gov. Tommy Thompson launched the modern school choice movement, Wisconsin has boasted a proud history of supporting educational choice, which creates better outcomes for students and expands opportunities for success. Today, over 48,000 Wisconsin children benefit from school choice – allowing students of all backgrounds to obtain a quality education.
“Parents have a right to choose what school best meets the needs of their child. Democrats like Tony Evers may stand with teachers union bosses by trying to gut and cap these critical opportunities for students, but the Republican Party of Wisconsin is proud to join parents, children, and advocates across the country in celebrating National School Choice Week to highlight the need to provide more choices to more students – no matter their zip code.”
