Republican Party of Wisconsin Launches Ad “Asleep at the Switch”

Highlights Gov. Tony Evers’ Inaction in the Face of Violence and Destruction

[Madison, WI] – The Republican Party of Wisconsin launched a television and digital ad campaign on Wednesday highlighting how Gov. Tony Evers was asleep at the switch when violence and lawlessness broke out this spring in Wisconsin’s state capital.

Gov. Tony Evers has multiple law enforcement agencies and the National Guard at his disposal, and Wisconsin’s capital city still burned under his watch. When Wisconsinites were looking for leadership and protection from their leaders, Gov. Tony Evers refused to take control and protect Wisconsin citizens.

“We need to stand up and fight back against liberal inaction and reckless policy ideas that leave Wisconsin families in danger,” said Andrew Hitt, Chairman of the Republican Party of Wisconsin. “Whether it’s Gov. Tony Evers being asleep at the switch while rioters unleashed chaos throughout Wisconsin or his failure to address the tens of thousands of unfilled unemployment claims, the governor has failed to lead time and again.”

Gov. Tony Evers’ inaction comes when other liberals want to strip funding from law enforcement. Gov. Tony Evers has been passive when leadership was needed to stand up to the liberal mob.
