ICYMI: Trump Campaigns in Racine

RACINE, Wis. – In case you missed it, President Trump was joined by former Governors Tommy Thompson and Scott Walker, Representatives Steve Scalise, Bryan Steil, Glenn Grothman, and Derrick Van Orden, and businessman Vivek Ramaswamy for a campaign rally on Tuesday in Racine, Wisconsin.

An excited crowd attended the rally at Racine Festival Park with lines forming hours before the doors opened. The Trump campaign and local volunteers worked together on putting together a stellar event along the banks of Lake Michigan.

Congressman Bryan Steil emphasized the contrast between President Trump’s record on the economy versus the Biden Administration. “Look at the impact costs are having. The median mortgage has doubled. More people are struggling to be able to go from paying the rent to paying the mortgage. Car prices are up. Energy prices are up. And it shouldn’t be lost on anybody that on day one when President Biden comes to office, he kills the Keystone XL pipeline,” Steil said. “We want to have energy production here in the United States of America with American jobs. Those are the policies that we can have when we reelect President Donald Trump.”

Surprise guest Vivek Ramaswamy rallied the crowd with an impassioned speech outlining the purpose of the Trump campaign. “We’re not just a movement. We’re not just running from something. We are running to something as Americans,” Ramaswamy said. “We’re running back to a country where you do get ahead not on the color of your skin but on the content of your character and contributions.”

President Trump spoke to the crowd for over an hour. A major theme of his remarks were reducing bureaucracy, easing inflation, and restoring American energy independence. “I will stop Biden’s wasteful spending and rapidly terminate the Green New Scam which is a total scam,” Trump said. “I will end the Biden inflation nightmare and we will end it quickly. And I will repeal crooked Joe Biden’s insane electric vehicle mandate. And we will drill, baby, drill.”

Eric Hovde joined President Trump onstage and discussed how his opponent Senator Tammy Baldwin has aligned herself with the Biden Administration on almost every issue.  “Tammy Baldwin has voted with Joe Biden 95.5% of the time,” Hovde said. “Now I got ask you to ask you Mr. President. You have a lovely gorgeous wife. I got married. I got lucky with a beautiful wife. We got a great relationship. But I can tell you I don’t agree with her 95.5% of the time. And I sure the heck know she doesn’t agree with me 95.5% of the time. So how could Tammy Baldwin agree with Joe Biden 95.5% of the time? She’s been a disaster.”

With the 2024 Republican National Convention in Milwaukee fast approaching, momentum continues to build for the Trump campaign and Republican candidates across Wisconsin. Voters are responding to both the positive message of common sense policies and the failed policies of the Biden Administration.
