MADISON, Wis. – Tammy Baldwin does not practice what she preaches.
For all of her faux concern about working families and lofty promises to tax the rich, Baldwin and her partner seem perfectly content helping the wealthiest taxpayers exploit the system.

From Gabe Kaminsky, Washington Examiner:
“Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) has long criticized the U.S. tax code, claiming loopholes allow the wealthiest 1% of taxpayers to dodge paying their fair share. Her partner makes a living helping ‘Ultra High Net Worth’ clients pay less in taxes.
“Baldwin’s partner, Maria Brisbane, focuses on delivering ‘tax minimization strategies’ for her clients at Morgan Stanley, which counts Brisbane as a private wealth adviser, according to the firm.”
While Baldwin’s rhetoric about income inequality and closing tax loopholes may be hollow words, her portfolio is far from lacking. Thanks to the money she and her partner have brought in using “tax minimization strategies” on behalf of wealthy clients, Baldwin and Brisbane have acquired $2.05 million worth of properties in Washington D.C. and Madison.
As working families continue struggling with high costs, Baldwin’s self-indulging hypocrisy will not go unnoticed by voters.
“If hypocrisy were an industry, Tammy Baldwin and her partner Maria Brisbane would hold a monopoly. While Wisconsinites struggle with higher prices and lower wages, Baldwin and Brisbane are enriching themselves by helping out-of-state clients avoid paying their taxes. Voters are ready for a change and know Eric Hovde will put their financial security first.” —WisGOP Spokesperson Matt Fisher
