Mandela Barnes Stands By Eliminating Cash Bail

[Madison, WI] – In December, Wisconsin and all of America watched in horror as the Waukesha Christmas Parade was attacked by a decades-long violent criminal free on “inappropriately low” bail. Nonetheless, Mandela Barnes is standing by his fringe-left stance to abolish cash bail across the country, which would enable more criminals like Darrell Brooks to endanger more communities.

This comes after the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported last week on Barnes’ election year flip-flops on defunding the police and the “abolish ICE” movement. Public safety is a top concern for Wisconsin families, and neither Barnes’ views that are out-of-touch with the mainstream, nor his efforts to duck, dodge, and waffle to appease the far-left, will inspire confidence in Wisconsin voters.

“Wisconsin families just want to feel safe, and unlike Mandela Barnes, they don’t have access to taxpayer-funded private security,” said Republican Party of Wisconsin Communications Director Anna Kelly. “After Wisconsinites watched the Waukesha attack in horror, Barnes’ views couldn’t be more out-of-touch with the mainstream, and they’re disqualifying for the U.S. Senate.”
