SHOT/CHASER: Tony Evers’ Two-Faced Campaign

New Ad Glosses Over Crippling Lockdowns That Hurt Businesses

[Madison, WI] – Tony Evers knows that the only way he stands a chance in November is by misleading voters. In his most recent attempt, Evers launched new ads claiming that he is “doing the right thing” for businesses – ignoring the fact that he crippled Main Street businesses with his harmful lockdowns that were eventually struck down by the state Supreme Court.

This comes after Evers took credit for Republicans’ historic tax cut in a separate ad, despite the fact that he tried to raise taxes by $1 billion. It’s no wonder that amid their historically low approval, Democrats are campaigning like Republicans to survive in today’s political climate.

“Tony Evers is running a dishonest campaign because he has no accomplishments to tout,” said Republican Party of Wisconsin Communications Director Anna Kelly. “Small business owners and workers who suffered directly from his crippling lockdowns won’t buy his revisionist history.”
