Trump Nominates Amy Coney Barrett for Supreme Court Vacancy

[Madison, WI] – On Saturday, President Donald Trump nominated Judge Amy Coney Barrett for the vacancy on the Supreme Court of the United States. Following the announcement the Republican Party of Wisconsin released the following statement from Chairman Andrew Hitt:

“I want to congratulate Judge Barrett on her nomination today, and thank President Trump for nominating another judge who will uphold the Constitution and the rule of law. While he was running for office in 2016, President Trump promised to reshape the judiciary, and he’s done just that. The President continues to deliver on his promises — that’s why we need to reelect him for four more years.

“Joe Biden still has not released a list of potential Supreme Court nominees. He has not weighed in on the Left’s radical proposals to pack the courts and rig the Senate by adding seats. He has remained totally silent while the extreme factions of his party have taken over the debate.”
