WisGOP hires Communications Director

MADISON, Wis. — The Republican Party of Wisconsin announced the hiring of Matt Fisher as the new Communications Director. Fisher will serve as the primary media contact and spokesperson ahead of the 2024 cycle.

“Matt is a fantastic pick-up for the Republican Party of Wisconsin,” said WisGOP Chairman Brian Schimming. “Not only does he offer a well-rounded background in political communications but a positive vision and attitude as well. I am eager to have Matt join the team as we work to retire Joe Biden in 2024.”

“In 2024, the road to the White House runs right through Wisconsin and I could not be more excited to get to work,” said Fisher. “I look forward to working around the clock to hold the Democrats accountable while amplifying Republican priorities and conservative solutions that will resonate with Wisconsinites next fall.”

Fisher joins the WisGOP after serving as the Press Secretary for Florida Congressman Brian Mast (FL-21). A Midwest native, he previously served as the Ohio Press Secretary for the Republican National Committee (RNC), the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), and several other political roles. Fisher is a graduate of Hillsdale College.

Fisher can be contacted at mfisher@wisgop.org.
