Madison, Wis… The Republican Party of Wisconsin released the following statement following the relocation of the Little White Schoolhouse in Ripon, WI:
“The Little White Schoolhouse, which represents the birthplace of the Republican Party has been relocated for the fifth time within the Ripon community, but our history as the Party that formed to end slavery and preserve liberty will not change. The story must be told accurately and the building’s preservation is essential to the entire GOP. Despite our concerns about the relocation of this privately owned building, it’s also unconscionable that the Biden Administration would remove it from the national registry after it had been moved multiple times before. It should remain on the registry as the values of the founding members in Ripon and today’s Republican Party remain the same.” — WisGOP Chairman Brian Schimming
