ICYMI: Tammy Baldwin lives in glass houses, throws stones

MADISON, Wis. —  Tammy Baldwin is seemingly unfamiliar with the saying, “those who live in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones. In case you missed it, career politician Baldwin’s  hypocritical rhetoric was on display again recently.  The politician who has spent her career living off taxpayers’ wallets recently took shots at a Wisconsin Republican businessman.

Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s Dan Bice recently exposed her disingenuous criticism. When Tammy isn’t on the west coast fundraising with the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, she’s living at her exquisite East Coast $1.3 million penthouse — which has “monument views like you cannot believe!”; this price tag indeed matches Baldwin’s definition of “out-of-touch.” By Tammy’s standards, she’s “out-of-touch” with her real estate holdings in Washington, D.C., and Madison, Wisconsin.

It’s pretty absurd Baldwin is bashing a Wisconsin BUSINESSMAN for his real estate when the only paycheck Tammy has ever received has been at taxpayers’ expense. Remember that Baldwin never complained about the former U.S. Sen. Herb Kohl’s $3 million ranch in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, or that former U.S. Sen. Russ Feingold spent his time in California teaching at Stanford University.

Out-of-touch is “echoing” Joe Biden’s sentiment that Democrats need to “finish the job.” Baldwin and Biden have done quite the job. Under Biden’s failed agenda:

Tammy Baldwin bought pricey new D.C. pad with partner in 2021

“U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin was quick to criticize potential Republican opponent Eric Hovde as being an “out of state multimillionaire” after it was disclosed he paid nearly $7 million in 2018 to buy a luxurious hillside estate in Laguna Beach, California.”

“But, as it turns out, Baldwin isn’t doing so badly herself.”

“In 2021, the second-term Democratic senator and her partner bought a “luxurious” $1.3 million Washington, D.C., rooftop condo just steps from the U.S. Capitol. The pad cost more than three times what a buyer paid for her old Washington digs and four times as much as the median sale price for Wisconsin homes in April 2023.”

“The “penthouse residence” — in the words of the real estate agent — has three bedrooms and three full bathrooms with soaring ceilings and a private roof deck “with monument views like you cannot believe!””

“Baldwin and Brisbane have been dating since 2018. Brisbane is a private wealth adviser at the Brisbane Group, a wealth management team within Merrill Private Wealth Management in New York. She was included in Forbes“America’s Top Women Wealth Advisors” list in 2023.”

“The 1,309-square foot unit is, the real estate agent says, “a sophisticated unit bathed in light, offering breathtaking monument views, top-of-the-line finishes, gas cooking, in-unit washer/dryer and a primary bedroom suite fit for a king(-sized bed) and more.”

“According to Baldwin’s campaign, Brisbane paid down half of the cost of the $1.31 million condo in cash, while Baldwin made a $180,000 down payment and took out a $475,000 mortgage to cover the rest of her half. Baldwin now makes the monthly payments on the mortgage, which was reviewed by the U.S. Senate Ethics Committee.”
