MADISON, Wis. — The Republican Party of Wisconsin announced today that former U.S. Representative Mayra Flores (TX-34), the first Mexican-born Congresswoman, will be addressing Republican delegates at the 2023 State Convention in La Crosse.
The Republican Party is rooted in our founding principles: freedom and the American Dream. Republicans still believe it is essential to pass that dream and goal on to future generations.
Flores is a strong conservative woman with a remarkable story to share. The WisGOP believes Republican women, including Flores, are critical to expanding the Republican party base and inviting independent voters of all backgrounds to our party.
“Wisconsinites will hear a clear pathway forward at the 2023 Republican Party of Wisconsin’s convention in La Crosse,” said WisGOP Chairman Brian Schimming. “I am thrilled to announce Mayra Flores will be speaking to delegates and grassroots activists from across Wisconsin. Flores is a strong conservative leader, and a real-life example of the American Dream with an inspiring message. The Republican Party looks forward to building on our successes, from Senator Ron Johnson’s re-election and the election of State Treasurer John Lieber, to expanded congressional and state legislative majorities. We must work on expanding our base and bringing more independent voters back to the GOP. Our convention will lay the groundwork for the 2024 cycle, where Wisconsinites will have a clear choice between four more years of economic hardship, rampant crime, identity politics and political polarization or four years of a Republican leader who will focus on strengthening our economy and building a better future for all Americans.”
