WisDems Scorn Hostages to Pacify Extremists

MADISON, Wis. – The Ayatollah and Yahya Sinwar couldn’t be more pleased with the Wisconsin Democrats.

This weekend, Wisconsin Democrats will debate multiple resolutions concerning the war in Gaza at their state convention in Milwaukee. It would be an understatement to say delegates on the convention floor will entertain some particularly controversial and grotesque proposals.

The first resolution, 24-FA-01, demands an immediate and unconditional ceasefire in Gaza with zero regard paid for the 124 civilians held hostage by Hamas including five Americans.

In fairness, this callous lack of concern for the freedom and safety of the hostages is nothing new for the Wisconsin Democrats. Senator Tammy Baldwin eagerly endorsed Hamas’ terms for a ceasefire less than three months ago.

But it only gets worse.

The Wisconsin Democrats will also consider adopting resolution 24-FA-03 that draws a moral equivalency between Israel’s response to the attacks of October 7th and the documented atrocities of Hamas including rape and mass murder.

The fact these resolutions will receive consideration at their state convention demonstrates how far the Wisconsin Democrats have strayed to the left. It is a sad but revealing glimpse into the extreme philosophy of their ranks.

“While Wisconsin Democrats may win the Ayatollah’s approval with these resolutions, they have completely betrayed the trust of Wisconsin voters with their shameful indifference to the victims of October 7th. Wisconsin Republicans proudly stand with Israel and demand the immediate and unconditional release of the 124 hostages held by Hamas.” —WisGOP Spokesperson Matt Fisher
